Counselling Services
Chris’ Place provides individual counselling services within the counsellor’s professional scope of practice. Counselling is a collaborative process, and outcomes vary from person to person. No specific result or outcome can be guaranteed.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Your privacy is important to us. Information shared during counselling is treated as confidential and handled with care in accordance with applicable privacy laws and professional standards.
Confidentiality may have legal or professional limits in certain circumstances, including where disclosure is required or permitted by law, where there is a serious safety concern, or where reporting obligations apply. Where appropriate and legally permitted, these limits will be discussed with you.
Appointments & Cancellations
Appointments are scheduled in advance. Please provide reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to the clinic’s cancellation policy.
Communication
Communications outside scheduled counselling sessions are intended primarily for administrative purposes. Email, text messaging, and other electronic communications may carry privacy risks, and clients are encouraged not to send highly sensitive personal information through these methods.
Emergency Situations
Chris’ Place is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are experiencing an immediate emergency or believe you or someone else is at risk of serious harm, please contact emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department.
Fees
Counselling fees and applicable payment policies will be communicated at the time of booking. Clients are responsible for determining whether their insurance or benefits plan covers counselling services.
Professional Boundaries
Chris’ Place maintains appropriate professional boundaries and is committed to providing a respectful, safe, and non-judgmental counselling environment. Services may be discontinued when continued counselling is no longer appropriate or cannot be provided within the counsellor’s professional scope.
